Joe White Crystal Dark Malt Infusion Pack - 250gm
Ideal for adding rich coffee and chocolate notes to Porters, Stouts, and Dark Ales.
Malt grain infusion packs are small, pre-measured bags of cracked specialty malts used by extract brewers to easily add complex flavour, colour, aroma, and body to a canned or extract beer kit.
How to Use an Infusion Pack.
Heat water: Bring about 2 liters of water to a gentle simmer or boil, then turn off the heat. (Avoid boiling the grains directly, as high heat can release bitter tannins from the grain husks)
Steep: Add the contents of your grain infusion pack into the hot water (you can place them in a muslin bag or strain them later). Put a lid on the pot and let it steep with the heat off for 20 minutes.
Strain: Remove or strain out the spent grains from the liquid.
Combine: Pour the warm, grain-infused liquid ("grain tea") directly into your fermenter or brew pot. You can use this hot liquid to easily dissolve your liquid or dry malt extract.
