Finings Sachet - 7gm

  • Use Gelatine Finings in bottled beer to firmly settle any suspended yeast. Itcreates a gelatinous disk of sediment at the bottom of the bottle, allowing youto pour your beer without stirring up any sediment.
  • This Gelatine Fining is specially produced for clarifying wine or beer. Used in red wines to clear particles and reduce any harsh flavours and odours that are associated with younger red wines.
  • Also effective in clearing white wines when used along with equal parts of Wine Tannin to induce settling. It is also recommended that Gelatine Finings befollowed with a treatment of Bentonite finings 1 to 2 hours later.
  • DIRECTIONS
  • USE TO SETTLE YEAST IN BOTTLE BEER
  • Use 1 sachet of Gelatine Finings for every 23 litres of beer to be treated. Prepare by dissolving in hot water. Use 1 cup of water to every sachet of Gelatine Finings. Once dissolved, stir vigorously into the beer and bottle immediately.
  • USE AS A FINING AGENT IN WINE
  • Use 1/8 teaspoon of Gelatine Finings in 4litres of wine to be treated. Prepare by dissolving in hot water. Use 1/2 cup ofwater for every 1/8 teaspoon of Gelatine Finings. Slowly add to hot waterstirring vigorously. Once dissolved, immediately stir into the wine before themixture cools and gels. Let wine stand for 5 days. Siphon off of the sedimentbefore bottling.
  • Can take up to 2 weeks to clear a beer or wine.
