SS Brewtech Chronical 2.0

Introducing the new and improve Ss Brewtech 2.0 Chronical Fermenters. These updated 2.0 versions feature a variety of requested improvements over the older models to make them the ultimate chronical fermenters.

The Half Barrel 64 litre (17 Gal) 2.0 Chronical is made of 304 Stainless Steel with a capacity of 17 gallons (plus 1.3 gallons in the lid). Making it perfect for those who are looking for a next generation 64 litre (17 gallon) chronical fermenter. It comes equipped with all Tri-Clover connections and valves making them far more sanitary and easy to clean.

Another key addition is the 3/4" Tri-Clover Sampling Port and Valve based on Ss Brewtech's "Pure Flow" Sanitary Technology. The second major redesign is the upgraded lid which now uses the Unitank lid-mounted cooling coil system, eliminating the side-mounted weldless cooling coil and ports found on the Ss Brewtech BME Chronicals.

These 2.0 Chronicals are designed to add much requested improvements while still maintaining the product line's core features that made the Ss Brewtech Chronicals amazing in the first place. They still have a full-width lid, the pro-inspired 60° cone, and bottom dump port. In addition they now come with the ever-popular neoprene jacket that used to come with the BrewMaster Editions. This means that every 2.0 Chronical comes equipped with a lid-mounted coil and a neoprene jacket.

It is ideal for brewing medium size batches compared to our other fermenters we offer. In addition it also sports a beautiful polished finish that draws the eyes, making a visually stunning addition to any set-up.

Slim Butterfly Valve

The new “Keyed Butterfly valves” are specially designed for the Chronical 2.0 with the intention to drastically reduce the system's weight while being equally sanitary and effective at sealing as full-sized butterfly valves. In addition, the new racking arm is co-molded with the geometry of the valve body and TC gasket; this ingenious design captures the racking arm and prevents it from coming loose. Additionally, the keyed elements of the valve allows the brewer to know exactly what direction the racking arm is facing by the orientation of the valve on the vessel.

Pure Flow Sampling Valve

The sampling valve was of particular interest to Ss Brewtech during development, by integrating the ¾” TC gasket seal into the valve’s interior membrane, they created a contiguous seal to valve surface, resulting in an even more sanitary connection. This patent-pending technology was first used on The Pure Flow Valve for the InfuSsion Mashtuns and has now found its way over to our cold-side fermentation lineup. Additionally, the ¾" TC port has all the sanitary benefits brewers have come to love with traditional 1.5" TC ports, but at a scale that’s perfect for the sampling valve.

Lid mounted cooling coil system
Ss Brewtech redesigned the lid to use the Unitank's lid-mounted cooling coil system, which removes the side-mounted weldless ports from the Chronical BME. The Chronical 2.0's lid-mounted cooling coils extend further down into the fermenter, enabling users to ferment partial batch sizes.
