Carbonation Stone 0.5 microns
- How do I carbonate using a carbonation stone
- Using a carbonation stone will cut down the time needed to carbonate the beer toabout 1/2 hour.
- The beer needs to be cold, between 2 and 4 °C.
- Attach the stone so that it is at or near the bottom of the keg.
- Start with no pressure on the regulator and increase to 1-2 psi and let sit for about 4-5minutes. You should hear the bubbles in the keg.
- Repeat the pressure increase in 1-2 psi increments waiting 4-5 minutes betweenincreases until you are about 14-16 psi.
- Try a sample glass. If this is the desired carbonation level, you can either remove orleave in the stone and back pressure down to serving psi.If not, keep increasing thepsi in 1-2 psi increments till you get your desired level.
- Carbonate your beer just like the pros with this 0.5 Micron Carbonating Stone with1/4" Barb. Simply attach one end to a couple of feet of 1/4" tubing to the end of thedip tube inside of the keg, and the other end to the stone.
- Make sure you attach hoseclamps to both connections. Then set your regulator to about 2 psi, and the gas will beforced through the millions of tiny pores in the stone, which dissolves the gas into theliquid.
- Carbonates your beer overnight.
- Note: To prevent the pores from getting clogged, we recommends not handling theporous end directly with your fingers.
