Campden Tablets x 50

• 50 x Potassium Metabisulphite tablets in a tablet form.
• Use in the making of beer, wine, cider and preserving.
• Vintners use Campden Tablets to sterilise must or crush, particularly on small batches where measuring 1 or 2 grams is tedious.
• They can also be used to prevent oxidation of beer or wine.
• All grain brewers can use these to remove chlorine from their brewing water also, one half a tablet in 23 litres is sufficient to remove the chlorine.
• Campden Tablets can also be used to stop a ferment from finishing, leaving you with a sweeter cider or wine.

Instructions:

To santise fruit:

• Crush and dose one tablet per 4.5 litres, mix thoroughly and stand in an open container for 24 hours before pitching the yeast.

To preserve wines and ciders:

• Crush and dose 2 tablets per 4.5 litres prior to bottling and mix thoroughly.
• If back sweetening is required, use Potassium Sorbate.
